Paris Saint Germain have created history by winning the Coupe de France title for the 13th time as they beat Etienne by 1-0 at the Stade de France on Saturday.

It was star Neymar who scored the only goal of the match as he led his side to lift the trophy, but only the other hand, the fans were left distressed after Mbappe’s ankle injury. The 21-year-old sustained the injury during the 26th minute of the match when Etienne’s skipper Loic Perrin tackled him, leading the fans in piqued.

Perrin was immediately sent off the field, followed by the VAR review that showed him deliberately hitting the forward.

But PSG was already ahead of the Etienne as Mbappe laid the foundation for his fellow striker Neymar before he made a powerful hit towards the bar for a goal!

A total of 10 yellow cards and 1 red card were dished out during the match due to fouls from both sides. And one such foul led Etienne to play with 10 players instead of the usual 11.

Thomas Tuchel, the coach of the PSG reacted on his side’s first competitive title win after March 11 and also gave an update on Mbappe’s injury as he said, “I’m very happy because we won but we have to stay patient because we don’t have any news. I think he will undergo tests tonight.”

“Everyone is worried. Everyone who saw the foul is worried. Of course, I’m worried,”

Tuchel would be expecting the comeback of Mbappe ahead of the side’s match with the Champions League quarter-final against Atalanta in Portugal on August 12. Besides, PSG will also need to work on its attack in his Mbappe’s absence.
