Opening day of PKL season 9

Dabbang Delhi K.C Vs. U Mumba

Pro Kabaddi league season 9

The Pro Kabaddi League season 9 has begun and the first match featured Dabbang Delhi KC and U Mumba. Dabbang Delhi are the defending champions and they have started their title defense in an emphatic manner. Delhi has successfully outclassed U Mumba by 27-41 and registered their first victory in the opening match of season 9.

Dabbang Delhi captain Naveen Sharma was breathing fire throughout the match as he collected his 43rd Super 10 raid. In 23 raids, Naveen collected a total of 13 raid points aiding to his side’s one -sided victory against U Mumba.

Delhi’s defense in particular proved to be too much for the U Mumba raiders. The losing side failed to execute their strategies and looked like a shadow of the team that won the PKL season 2 title.

With this win, Dabbang Delhi KC have now won their opening match for the fourth season in a row. Delhi head coach will be happy to see the players implement the plans in the best way possible.

Dabbang Delhi has shown in these 40 minutes that opponents will have to do a lot of hard work in order to catch up with them. It will be fair to say that the Boys from the capital have picked up from where they left last term.

Bengaluru Bulls Vs. Telegu Titans

Bengaluru Bulls Vs. Telegu titans

The second fixture of the opening day in Vivo Pro Kabaddi League season 9 saw a mouthwatering clash between the Bengaluru Bulls and Telegu Titans. This fixture marks the first South Indian derby of the season and it went down the wire.

The Titans started the game in a dominating manner – picking 4 points in a row. However, the Bulls responded by picking the next 7 points in a row. Bulls raider Neeraj Narwal looked very energetic through out the match but the Titans were not ready to give up either.

The match saw a lot of breaks in between due to reviews from both the teams. It went really close as at the end of the first-half, both the sides were level on points with 17-17. The first fixture went one sided towards the Dabbang Delhi but the following fixture saw both teams go against one another repressively.

In the last 10 minutes of the game, the score was level on 23-23 but as the game proceeded the Bengaluru Bulls displayed nerves of steel and won the match by a margin of 5 points. The Titans went all out 2 times in the game and they will be gutted to lose this match. The final score line of the second match ended in 29-34.

Although the Jaguars were were relentlessly chasing the Yoddhas point by point, they were still trailing by 5 points in the last 10 minutes but went level on points by the 37th minute of the match.

A super raid by the UP raider Surender gill took them one step closer towards the victory and  a smart game play by the Yoddha’s saw them win the match by 32-34.
