Pradeep Sangwan Biography: Pradeep Sangwan is a seasoned domestic cricket player, hailing from Delhi. Pradeep Sangwan has featured for the U-19 India, Delhi state team and the Indian Premier League franchises like Delhi Daredevils (currently Delhi Capitals), Gujarat Lions, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. He registered a win with the U-19 India team under Virat Kohli and has been a veteran and guiding light for youngsters in a state setup.
Early Life & Journey:
Pradeep Sangwan was born on 5th November 1990 in Rasiwas, Delhi. The player was born in a middle-class family but his strong inclination and talent towards the sport helped him to grow in the early stage of careers.
Pradeep Sangwan was coached by one of the most eminent coaches of Delhi, AN Sharma. He was a part of the U15 squad of Delhi in 2005. With that squad, he picked 31 wickets in six matches. Not only he proved his bowling talent, but he also helped his side with the bat. He scored crucial 63 runs in a partnership of 150 runs for the final wicket in a game held in Kolkata.
His fine performances earned Pradeep Sangwan a ticket to the state side in 2007. He picked wickets left,right and centre while terrorizing the opposition. This warranted a ticket to the U19 squad that was traveling to play ICC U19 World Cup in Malaysia. His support bowling earned applause as well as his selection to Delhi Daredevils. He played approximately 28 matches before the downfall started.
Pradeep Sangwan’s form worsened and averaged 41 with the ball in 2009-10. In 2013, he was tested positive for stanozolol, a banned drug. This kept him away from cricketing action for 18 months. On his return in the 2015-16 Ranji trophy, he picked 32 wickets. This again earned him an IPL ticket with Gujarat Lions. But in a combined two seasons with Gujarat Lions, he had only seven games.
Following the fine performances in the 2018 season in Ranji and other first class tournaments, Mumbai Indians acquired his services for 1.5 crores. In the 2023 season, he will feature for Gujarat Titans.

Pradeep Sangwan has gone through a lot of ups and downs in cricket. He started the game at a tender age of 15 and played a crucial part in India’s U19 triumph in 2008. In the tournament, he picked up eight wickets. Pradeep also picked five wicket haul in the tournament while conceding just 44 runs against South Africa. However, this all started with an exciting debut season for the player in 2007-08. He had picked up 33 wickets in that season with an average of 19.24.
The player started his domestic cricket with an appearance in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his debut in February 2007 against Services and scalped four wickets in that game. In ten overs, he had picked four wickets while conceding 43 runs.
On his first-class debut, Pradeep Sangwan spit fire on Rajasthan in November 2007. Though he could contribute only ten runs while batting in the first innings, he picked three wickets with the ball to derail Rajasthan’s innings. In the second innings, he picked two crucial wickets to help his side register the win in the game.

In the shortest format of the game, he has 103 wickets at a strike rate of 20.2 and economy of 7.67.
