PKL Season 9 : Key Events from Match day 26
1. U Mumba Raiders brought back 23 points but still lost the match –ย Match number 64 of Pro Kabaddi League season 9 saw Jaipur Pink Panthers pick up a narrow victory of 3 points against U Mumba. It was a fixture between the 4th placed and the 5th placed with Jaipur now sitting second in the PKL points table. However, U Mumba also deserved to walk away with a win all because of the hard work and masterclass of their raiders who collected a total of 23 raid points. Main Raider Ashish completed his Super 10 and ended up with 11 raid points. Heidarali Ekrami collected 4 raid points, while Jai Bhagwan brought back 6 raid points and Pranay Rane managed to bag 2 raid points. Jaipur Pink Panthers on the other hand scoredย 27 raid points, all thanks to the sloppy defense of U Mumba.

2. Sachin Tanwar completes 700 PKL career Raid Points – Patna Pirates‘ main Raider and the heart of the attacking department Sachin Tanwar completed his 700th career raid points yesterday against Haryana Steelers. Despite a slow start to the season, Pirates are finally back on track as they are now 6 games without a loss including 5 wins. Tanwar completed his 5th Super 10 of the season and aided for Patna’s 9 point victory against Steelers by picking 13 raid points.

3. Haryana Steelers now closer to the bottom than the Play-off spots –ย Last night against Patna Pirates, Haryana Steelers suffered theirย 6th lossย of PKL season 9. The Steelers have now dropped down to theย 10th spotย in the points table withย 29 pointsย inย 11 games. They have managed to win only 3 games this season and drew a game on 2 occasions. Their enigmatic individual performances are not proving to be enough and they need to do something special in order to climb up the ladder.
