PKL next season is likely to take place  from December 22nd, 2021 in Bengaluru

Pro Kabaddi League next season which was hindered for the last 12 months due to COVID-19 is likely to take place now from December 22nd, 2021 in Bengaluru. There were thoughts about considering two to three venues like Ahmedabad and Jaipur but finally, Bengaluru was the only one who was given preference due to COVID-19 still existing at the moment so ideally, it will be easy for organizers to conduct the marquee event at one place.

Pro-Kabaddi league which is India’s second most-watched Sports League will be the first indoor tournament that will resume in the country since COVID-19 pandemic.

All the team members, support staff needs to be vaccinated 14 days before arriving at the venue and the game will be played keeping all health procedures in mind.

Jaipur Pink Panthers who won the inaugural edition of the PKL will begin its pre-season camp in Dehradun on October 16 whereas teams like Telugu Titans and Bengaluru bulls will start their preparatory campaign from this week onwards.

The league was supposed to be resume in July but due to the second wave of pandemics in the country at that point of time decided to postpone the marquee event later and the player auction was held in Pardeep Narwal who played for Patna Pirates for so many years emerged as a top buy for UP Yodha for a whopping amount of Rs 1.65 crore.

The call on overseas players is yet to be taken also more about their vaccination policy and clarity over dates when they will join their respective sides.

Pro Kabaddi League is the second most popular league in India after IPL as the league has garnered a lot of eyeballs in the country and the credit should be given to organizers, Star Sports who are official broadcasters of this league along with stakeholders of the different franchises. Indian players are becoming financially stable after taking part in the marquee event and the eyeballs that the tournament is generating are not just good for Kabbadi fans but also the budding player who wants to make a career in this beautiful contact sport.
