Neymar moves to second in Brazil’s all-time goalscorer

Neymar is already in the all-time leading scorers for Brazil second only to Pelé after his hat-trick gave Brazil a 4-2 win in Peru and the top position in South American World Cup qualifying.

The PSG superstar has 64 goals for Brazil, overtaking Ronaldo. He celebrated one of his goals by doing the impression of the former brazil striker celebration showing his index finger. He is 13 goals behind Pelé’s score list.

Brazil dominated the ball but Peru’s fast forwards looked dangerous on the counter-attacking football. But soon Neymar sent Gallese the opposite way from the spot after Yoshimar Yotun was penalised for tugging his shirt in the box.

Peru’s Tapia shot deflected by the defender Rodrigo Caio put Peru ahead just before the half time but five minutes later Everton’s Richarlison made it 2-2, following a close-range header by Roberto Firmino.

The winning goal came in the second half as Carlos Zambrano fouled Neymar. Worse was still to come for Zambrano as he was sent off minutes later for a stray elbow that caught Richarlison and Neymar in Peru’s coffin after Gallese spilt a shot from Everton Ribeiro.
