Former India opening batsman Kris Srikanth praise Rishabh Pant after the latter played an innings of his life yesterday against England in the fourth Test in Ahmedabad.

When the swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batsman came out to bat India was struggling after losing four wickets at the score of 80 joining Rohit Sharma in the middle.

What surprised most of the experts was the usual gameplay that Pant didn’t play for which he is known for International cricket and try sticking to defensive style for his first 50 runs and then later changed his gear to score another 51 runs in quick succession.

Pant played responsibly and aggressively at the same time depending on the need of an hour.

He built small partnerships first with Rohit and then with Ravichandran Ashwin to steady the ship. The England bowlers, however, kept chipping away with wickets at regular intervals and reduced India to 146 for 6.

As soon as Pant completed his 3rd Test century cricket fraternity started praising the talented wicket-keeper batsman which includes India and overseas experts.

And Srikant took to Twitter to praise the youngster where he wrote “What a terrific century by @RishabhPant17 when Team India needed it the most! Never seen such destruction by a keeper since Gilly #ENGvIND #pant #TeamIndia,”.

However, talking about the third day game of the fourth Test so far India has scored 365 runs in their first innings taking an assemble lead of 160 runs and in response, the visitors have scored 46 runs at the loss of four wickets.
