MS Dhoni Meets Team India In Ranchi

India vs England Dream11 Prediction

India beat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs on the fourth day of the Ranchi test registering their first-ever whitewash against the Proteas. It was humiliating for the visitors as it took India only two overs to dislodge the South African tail-enders on the 4th day of the game.

Ranchi is also the hometown of MS Dhoni. There were speculations that the man with the Midas touch might attend the opening day’s play of the Ranchi test match, but the legend was nowhere to be seen in the stadium.

However, after India won the match and the series, he was spotted with Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri and the rest of the players.

It has been 3 months since Dhoni played an international match for India. The wicketkeeper-batsman had featured against New Zealand in the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2019 where he scored a patient fifty, but couldn’t get India over the line.

There have been rumours ever since that Dhoni would hang his boots, but Dhoni has never dropped any hints about his future since the World Cup. It is still a mystery if he will stretch his international career or indeed hang his boots.

His fans obviously want him to play the upcoming T20 World cup and bid adieu to international cricket on a winning note, but nobody is sure what Dhoni is thinking.

Today, the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri posted a picture with Dhoni on Twitter calling the former captain a “true legend” of Indian cricket.

Earlier, when Shastri was asked about Dhoni’s future plans, he had said that he hadn’t met Dhoni since the World Cup semifinal and any call regarding Dhoni’s future would have to be taken Dhoni himself.

“Whether he wants to come back, that’s for him to decide. I have not met him after the World Cup. He has to first start playing and let’s see how things go. I don’t think he has started playing after the World Cup. If he is keen, he will definitely let the selectors know,” Shastri was quoted saying by India Today.
