Mohamed Salah takes a dig at Manchester United players

It was a horrible game at Anfield. After registering a 3-2 win over Norwich City in the 32nd GW, the Manchester United players were pumped up to put in a great performance against Liverpool.

However, things didn’t pan out as they wanted. The title-chasing Liverpool were rampant and thrashed them 4-0. The Anfield based outfit went on to register a cleansheet as well against a hapless Old Trafford club.

At the end of the game, Mohamed Salah, the star Liverpool player, took a dig at Manchester United midfielders and defenders. He said that “they make our life easier to score”.

The Egyptian international scored a brace against the Red Devils. He scored in the 22nd and 85th minute to put the death nail on the hopes of MUFC’s comeback.

Here is what Mohamed Salah said:

They make our life easier in the midfield and the back.

They always try and give us the ball in one-on-one situations so they make our lives much easier, especially when we defend well – we had a clean sheet here [Anfield] and there [Old Trafford]. So they make our life easier to score.

I think it was a top performance from us here and away also. We hope we can just carry on like this.

Liverpool are leading the title race alongside Manchester City by two points. However, they have played an extra game and will be vary of that. It remains interesting to see if the Merseysiders can keep up themselves in the title race as they are still in all other competitions.

Manchester United are all set to face Arsenal in the 33rd game week of the English Premier League. The loss has compounded the misery on Red Devils’ top-four chase but a win can re-ignite their aspirations. Arsenal are vested in the top-four race as well and we expect the game to be a cracker.
