Arsenal Football Club a.k.a “The Gunners” is a professional Football club situated in Islington, London, England. The Club participates in the top flight of English football as well as FA Cup, League Cup, and FA Community Shield.


The club was formed by Scotsman David Danskin and his fellow 15 munitions workers of Woolwich in October 1886 named as Dial Square. The workers in the club were involved in blacksmith’s which built cannons, from where the club got their nickname The Gunners.

Before World War II, the club was on their path of prosperity, they had won two league titles and an FA Cup, but good times don’t stay with the club for long as many best players started retiring or leaving for more successful clubs.

Despite several miseries, Arsenal emerged as the ninth highest-earning Football club in the world. The Club has changed its home ground seven times. Currently, the home ground of the club is the Emirates Stadium.

Club Ownership

The Gunners are currently in the safe hands of American Sports and entertainment holding company Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. On 10th April 2011, by purchasing the majority of the stakes for 731 Million Euro of Danny Fiszman and Lady Nina Bracewell-smith and rest from the Alisher Usmanov, the Kroenke became the owner of the entire Arsenal Football Club.
