Early Life & Journey:
Mayank Dagar was born on 11 November 1996 to an affluent family. His father was a contractor in the Delhi Municipal Corporation. The player had registered an early interest into the game as a profession and the interest turned to profession when he was 13.
Relative to former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag, Mayank Dagar enrolled himself in training since his school days. The player went on to represent India at the U-19 level after an impressive set of performances for Himachal Pradesh at both U16 and U19 level. His notable contribution in the ICC U19 World Cup was his three wicket spell against Nepal.
Mayank Dagar made his state team debut soon after the U19 World Cup and went on to become a household name in the domestic setup. He played his first ever domestic game in 2015 and since then, he has never looked back.
Over the years, Mayank Dagar has played over 110 games at the domestic level and recently received the call up to an IPL franchise. The slow left arm bowler will look forward to carving out a name for himself in the Indian Premier League.

Mayank Dagar made his debut for the state side with a List A game (Vijay Hazare Trophy) against Delhi. Himachal Pradesh were batting first at Bengaluru in the first semifinal of the domestic tournament. The team was in trouble and looking at a smaller target. However, Mayank Dagar joined hands with Bipul Sharma to take the side closer to 200-run mark. Mayank Dagar scored an important 21 runs from 33 deliveries on his debut. Though he enjoyed success with the bat, he could not get the same success with the ball as he returned wicketless. Since then, he has bowled in 45 innings and has 51 wickets to his name at an economy of 5.1 and an average of 38.52.
The Ranji trophy debut for Mayank Dagar was not impressive either as the game ended in a draw against Andhra. Himachal Pradesh were again batting first at Bhubaneshwar in October 2016. Mayank Dagar contributed with bat as he scored 42 from 76 deliveries but he remained wicketless with the ball. Since the debut, Mayank Dagar has played 33 games and has 97 wickets to his name. He has bowled at an economy of 3.09 and a strike rate of 59.7.
Despite getting his domestic debut in 2015, he had to wait two years for his T20 debut. On his debut, he could not win the game for his side but he now accounts for 44 wickets from 44 games at an economy of 6.17 and strike rate of 21.
