Following a massive run chase of 375, Netherlands batted second and finished at 374/9 to tie the score with the West Indies. Logan van Beek faced all six of Jason Holder’s deliveries in the super over, which he was later assigned by the Dutch team to open the batting with skipper Scott Edwards. Logan van Beek then capitalized on Holder’s errors in line and length judgment by scoring 30 runs, including three fours and three sixes. Netherlands surpassed West Indies’ previous record of 25 runs scored in a super over to set a new record for the most runs scored in any format at the international level.
