The New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was for the entire day, trolled by Twitteratis after he tried to mock Virat Kohli and Indian fans, where he jokingly tried to compare Rory Burns’ Ashes record with that of Virat Kohli, which is ofcourse non-existent given he doesn’t feature in the series. He stated “Rory Burns now has more runs in his first Ashes innings than Virat Kohli has in his entire Ashes career.”

But the Kohli tweet didn’t go well with Indians, and in no time Neesham’s twitter feed became social war ground, where the fans had a go at Neesham. Though he tried to take a dig at Virat Kohli, but was trolled back entire day by the fans.

He had to then come to his defence and explain the premise of his tweet, which was purely for humour purposes:

This is not the first time he tried to troll any Indian player. Two months back, he tried to troll MS Dhoni after he was run out in the match, but had to face the wrath of Indian fans. He tweeted “I might google optical illusion if I was 4 years old”.

As a repercussion of the foul words being hurled at him, he tweeted, “I’ve deleted my tweet about MS Dhoni’s runout, not because I’ve changed my mind, but because:
1. I’m sick of seeing the same dumb comments in my feed 200 times a day.
2. I just don’t actually care.

Please don’t bother tweeting me about it again. Have a good day everyone

Jimmy Neesham is among the emerging all-rounders in International cricket, but his twitter provide has drawn more suitors for his constant cheeky jokes and jibes, which even saw some fans compare him to Virender Sehwag when it comes to the playing field of Twitter. But sometimes his jokes have hurt the sentiments of the fans, just as in the case of this tweet.
