Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been absent from the Google Play Store and App Store’s app listings for almost 5 months. The Indian government issued a soft ban on BGMI due to supposed safety and privacy concerns, and the digital app shops complied.
The Indian gaming sector has been yearning for the ban to be removed ever since. Everyone, from players to esports content producers, is making assumptions about the potential comeback of BGMI. However, according to a recent announcement made by numerous video game content producers, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) would be reinstated at the beginning of 2023.
BGMI is reportedly coming back to Android in one month, according to AFKGaming’s developers of gaming content. Predatorsasuke, a player in a recent live stream of Pratik “Alpha Clasher” Jogiya, claimed to be employed by Google and provided the potential relaunch date of BGMI. “You’d be very happy, BGMI will launch on Google Play Store on 15th January, it is a tentative date.” – said Predatorsasuke.
During another Livestream by a player named Sohail “Hector” Sheikh also answered on the same question saying “The game is going to return in January. Someone from Google said this. I don’t know this personally, but I have heard this.”
That person is significant in the Google community; he has a position of leadership. It makes no difference if someone in the gaming community thinks the game will return. “That guy indicated the game would resume on January 15th,” he added. Hector, on the other hand, requested that everyone give him some time to check the material. He also promised that if the game returned, he would notify everyone two weeks in advance.
