IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals becomes the first team to make this unwanted record

A shameful record has been registered on the name of Delhi Capitals yesterday in IPL 2024. A record, which the team would not want to remember at all.  Delhi Capitals has now become the team to concede more than 250 runs twice in the IPL history.

No team has ever conceded more than 250 runs twice in IPL except DC till now. In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, DC conceded 266 runs. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad took full advantage of Delhi’s small boundaries and hit many quick shots. This is the second time this season when more than 250 runs were scored against Delhi Capitals.

Sunrisers Hyderabad unilaterally defeated Delhi Capitals

Yesterday in IPL 2024, the match was played between DC and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Sunrisers Hyderabad unilaterally defeated Delhi Capitals by 67 runs on Saturday. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad once again batted explosively and scored 266 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. This target proved to be very big for DC. The team put up a good fight in the beginning but then finally got bundled out for 199 runs in 19.1 overs. 

Travis Head was adjudged player of the match for his stormy innings. For Sunrisers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma scored 133 runs in just 6.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma played an inning of 46 runs in 12 balls with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes. Whereas Travis Head remained at one end. He scored 89 runs in 32 balls with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes.
