Indian Premier League’s 2nd most successful team Chennai Super Kings might have had a disappointing end to IPL last season last year but they can never be counted out. They will look to script a comeback next year but before they take on the field, the Owners will hope to win the battle at the Auction table on December 23rd at Kochi.
Despite having an ageing team, the 4-time IPL champions have a good habit of staging a comeback over and over again. Last year there was a lot of tension within the Chennai Super Kings dressing room with Ravindra Jadeja relinquishing his captaincy in the middle of the season and MS Dhoni took it forward.

1. Rilee Rossouw (Base Price 2 Crores) – The 33-year-old is well known in the International circuit but he was on the sidelines before making a comeback in 2022. Rossouw’s stellar performances in 2022 will make him a hot prospect in the auctions next week. His revival in the T20 World cup 2022 was seen and admired by everyone. He also has good experience playing in the sub-continent. This year he has played 42 T20I innings and scored 1340 runs with a strike rate of 176, including 2 centuries.
2. Sam Curran – Curran, interestingly, was a member of the successful Chennai Super Kings 2021 squad. With Dwayne Bravo out of the IPL, Curran fits the bill well and can do CSK a world of good with his all-round ability, particularly his death bowling skills. T20 World Cup 2022 player has played 36 matches this year and has 46 coveted scalps. Curran bowled with an economy of 7.86 in 2022. Curran has also scored 495 runs in 36 matches with a strike rate of 133.78. Chennai Super Kings can turn to him once again.
