After losing the game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings are under immense pressure to register the victory. The team is languishing in the bottom half of the table and a defeat against RCB will put more pressure on the team. MS Dhoni will be gunning to win over his junior, Virat Kohli.

After the loss against Kolkata Knight Riders, several players and the team management has come under criticism. Kedhar Jadhav couldn’t get going against the well-oiled Kolkata and lost the game by 10 runs. The team looks weak in the middle order and there is no batting left after No 4. Dhoni has to address the issue soon as the team looks vulnerable.

Even on the bowling front, the team has failed to put up a collective performance. If Bravo performs, Sam Curran goes for runs and vice-versa. Despite picking the wickets, Piyush Chawla is leaking runs. With problems everywhere, CSK will lock their horns with RCB.

Here are the top three picks for Chennai Super Kings when they face Royal Challengers Bangalore:

#1) MS Dhoni

The former Indian captain and legendary wicket-keeper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has always stolen the limelight with his extra-ordinary performances against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the previous match-ups with RCB, Dhoni has registered half-centuries and will look to continue his fine form against his team in the IPL.

Last season, MS Dhoni almost took his side to the victory after the team had lost early wickets. However, he failed to connect the last ball and RCB ended up as the winners. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aware of Dhoni’s record against them as MS Dhoni will be one of the top three picks for CSK.

#2) Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja

The left-handed all-rounder saved the blushes for his side against Kolkata Knight Riders with the late flurry in the final over. Though CSK couldn’t win that game, his runs helped the side to lower the defeat margin. Ravindra Jadeja will be an asset for Chennai Super Kings with his fielding and bowling skills too against RCB.

Royal Challengers Bangalore possess the players of calibre like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers who wish to convert singles to doubles and doubles to triples. Ravindra Jadeja can be detrimental against them too as he is known for his fielding capabilities. Ravindra Jadeja will start the game as one of the top three picks on Saturday.

#3) Sam Curran

The left-arm pacer is the first choice bowler for MS Dhoni who can bowl both at the start of the innings and the death too. Sam Curran is handy for Chennai Super Kings with his batting too. It was his cameo against Mumbai Indians which helped Chennai to close down the game. In the previous game too, the England international was in a mood to take his team over the line but couldn’t as he fell prey to Russell.

With Chennai desperate for a win, CSK will pin their hopes on the 22-year-old who can swing the ball and bat too. Can he change the fortunes for Chennai Super Kings?
