After registering an emphatic victory against Mumbai Indians in the last group stage fixture, the Orange Army aka Sunrisers Hyderabad are up against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator of Indian Premier League 2020. A loser will have to pack the bags whereas the winner will play Qualifier  2 against Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

Off the late, Sunrisers are in a fine nick with three consecutive victories which came against the likes of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. These wins got them a place in the playoffs and would like to capitalize on the momentum they have. An intriguing game is on the cards between a four-games loser and three game-winners.

The performance of the team as a unit has helped the team to find a great form. The inclusion of Wriddhiman Saha in place of Bairstow has not only given an extra edge to the side upfront but also has given an extra cushion in the middle order in the form of Kane Williamson. On the bowling front, the absence of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar hasn’t been allowed to mount the problems on the side by the likes of T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma who has been great for the side.

With the league being knockout format for SRH from now on, the team cannot afford to put up a foot wrong. Here are the top three picks for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bangalore:

#1) Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson

The Newzealand international struggled to find the game time in the initial games of the season due to tactical tweaks. However, Kane Williamson got the games in succession after Jonny Bairstow was rested for the last four games. In the few appearances that he has got, Kane Williamson has scored 200 runs at an average of 33.33.

Against RCB, Kane Williamson will have a big role to anchor the innings. Unless a top-order collapse, Kane will be the finisher for the team and will be one of the top three picks for SRH against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

#2) Rashid Khan

Once a teenager, Rashid Khan has developed himself into a great leg break bowler in the Indian Premier League. His role has changed over the years from being a wicket-taker to being one of the most economical bowlers. He will be one of the top three picks against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Abu Dhabi.

In IPL 2020, Rashid Khan has 19 wickets in 14 wickets at an economy of 5.28 rpo. He will be raring to go against the likes of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli on Friday.

#3) Jason Holder

The West Indian all-rounder was brought as a replacement for injured Mitchell Marsh and has worked out well for the side. In five games, he has 10 wickets to his name and has scored 31 runs at a strike rate of 172.22. Against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he will be one of the top three picks for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The all-rounder has shared the new ball for the team and his skills have come into the side’s use. Can he put up a great performance once again?
