Indian Teenager Shubho Paul gets a golden opportunity to represent Bayern Munich’s youth team

West Bengal born Indian teenage Footballer Shubho Paul has become a hot topic among Indian football fans as he has grabbed an opportunity to play for Bayern Munchen’s youth system. In his debut season with Sudeva Delhi FC U-13 team, he scored unbelievable 58 goals in just 14 outings in the I-League.

The Centre-forward is currently under a 3-year contract with I-League outfit Sudeva Delhi FC after being promoted to the senior team two years ago. Paul is regarded as an extremely talented Striker containing a lot of potential to go on top of Indian football.

The 18-year-old has represented India across various age groups from U-15 to U-20. He is currently an important part of the Indian U-20 team set up. Over the last two years from 2020-2022, he appeared 22 times for Sudeva Delhi FC in I League, I League Relegation stage and Durand cup. He has played a total of 1,215 minutes for the club, scoring 7 goals and providing one assist on the way.

His performance this season has been decent enough as he has scored two goals in 11 appearances. He idolises Cristiano Ronaldo as his favourite footballing personality and dreams to follow his footsteps.

Before breaking into the Sudeva Delhi FC team, Shubho Paul played for Bengal Football academy and Beleghata Balaka Club. According to the numbers provided by All India Football Federation, the Teenage sensation has played a total of 59 matches until now and found the back of the net a staggering 92 times.

His goal-scoring record has been truly phenomenal and that is perhaps the reason why Bayern Munich are eyeing to secure his signing for the youth team. His goal scoring ratio per 90 minutes over the last 2 seasons is 0.51%, which is not bad for a youngster playing football in India.

Shubho Paul was a part of the Bayern Munich world squad in 2021 where he trained extensively under Christopher Loch. While playing for the Bayern world squad, the 18-year-old played several youth matches against clubs from South America as well as Europe. The youngster from the district of Howrah will soon be on his way to Germany to join the most successful club in the country.
