Indian speedster Jhulan Goswami achieves one more feat in her feather after she equals the record of clinching most wickets in World Cup

When you talk about women’s cricket in India names of two stalwart players comes straightway in our mind even if you are not an ardent follower of women’s cricket but you know who Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami is as these two have been the strength of pillar for women in Blue in batting and balling department respectively. Adding one more feat in her armory at the age of 39 years old, she equals the record of clinching most wickets in World Cup.

Goswami an absolute champion on the field known for her ferocious skills with the ball and of late she has troubled several top class batters all over the world.

Goswami(39) wickets at the world cup is the highest in the marquee event and this record stands at par with Australian bowler Lyn Fullston and this feat came in a match recently concluded against Kiwis.

The veteran speedster hailing from Bengal achieved this record milestone with her trademark inswinging Yorkers which she bowled against white ferns  against wicketkeeper Katey Martins in the 50th over of NZ innings.

Taking about the match between India and New Zealand where the former lost the game against the latter by 62 runs and the credit for getting women in Blue out on less total should be given to brilliant captaincy of Sophie Devine along with crucial breakthroughs from Lea Tahuhu , Amelia Kerr and Hayley Jansen who clinched eight wickets combined among them respectively.

Goswami is elated with her achievement but added that she would be feeling top of the moon if India would have won the match against White Ferns.

Jhulan didn’t made much noise after clinching that record wicket her celebration was pretty smile all she did that she smiled back at the opposition batter and even the batter Martin appreciated Jhulan on his record breaking delivery which got her out.
