IND Vs NZ 3rd ODI : Rohit Sharma ends a 3-year drought! Gets to his 30th Ton

After scoring 2 back-to-back fifties in the India Vs New Zealand 3-match ODI series, Rohit Sharma finally ended a 3-year wait to reach triple figures. His last ODI ton came in January 2020 but since then, a Century has gone missing.

Under his leadership, India defeated Sri-Lanka by 3-0 in 2023’s first ODI series. A win today will be India’s 2nd whitewash of the year as they have already clinched the series. But the talk of the hour is Rohit Sharma who has now equaled Ricky Ponting’s tally of 30 ODI centuries.

He completed his 100 off 83 balls, including 9 fours and 6 sixes. He has finally ended his drought and the Indian management will be happy to have him back.

His century has come in a stadium which is known for its flat batting pitches. The boundaries are also small and he has taken full control of his innings. Regardless of the bowler upfront, Rohit Sharma slammed every single bowler. He played his trade mark shots and with Shubhman Gill complimenting him, India are expected to set another high total.
