Team India will take on New Zealand in the second One-Day International at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Saturday in an effort to win the series. India defeated New Zealand by 12 runs in the first ODI and took the series lead by 1-0. It was a fiercely contested and a close match where Team India gave an outstanding performance and New Zealand on the other hand will hope for a better performance to level the series.

Batters of team India has been performing exceptionally well from the last few matches, as Shubhman Gill scored a double hundred in the last game and inform Virat Kohli is also backed with the 2 centuries he scored against Sri Lanka in the last series. Other batters like Rohit Sharma, Ishaan Kishan will also boost Men in Blue. So, it will be a tough challenge for Kiwis to play against India

But on other side, Black Caps are also in form as the New Zealand batter Michael Bracewell played an innings of 140 while chasing down. Although, New zealand lost the match but the fighting spirit and the current form of the players makes the team alive in the contest.

According to the pitch conditions, India will lead the advantage with the stronger batting line up as the batters have previously benefited from the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium’s pitch. The team that bats first will have a chance to score more than 300. Spinners, however, might be used in the second inning. India will also have the advantage of playing at home conditions. Even if New Zealand had opportunities in the first ODI, defeating an in-form India at home won’t be simple.
