IND Vs AUS 4th Test : Ishan Kishan reportedly in line to replace KS Bharat!

Tomorrow marks the start of the first day of the crucial fourth Test for the Border-Gavaskar cup 2023, as India looks to qualify for the ICC World Test Championship final at the Oval in 2023. The world’s biggest cricket stadium, Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium, will host the final tests.

After losing the third Test by nine wickets, India has a contest that they absolutely must win. Even though the hosts presently have a 2-1 advantage in the BGT, a loss or even a draw against Steve Smith’s team would be meaningless. If they fall short or draw, India will have to pray that New Zealand defeats Sri Lanka in the two-match test series, which also begins tomorrow.

One thing to note about the BGT for this edition is that all three exams were completed on the third day. The first two tests were easily won by Rohit Sharma’s team in Nagpur and Delhi, but the tourists made a great comeback in Indore.

Meanwhile, reports are suggesting that reserve Wicket-keeper Batsman Ishan Kishan is likely to make his debut in place of KS Bharat who hasn’t been able impress pretty much with the bat. If the reports are to be believed then KS Bharat missed the training session for the last test starting from tomorrow while Kishan had several net sessions.

The Left-handed Batter was also seen have a long and thorough chat with head coach and Ishan Kishan could be making his way into the team. But will it be a good move to pick him over Bharat? India must sort this out because even if they win against Australia with Kishan in the team, will they select him for the WTC Finals at England?

Australia has three excellent spinners in Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy, and Matthew Kuhnemann, the left-hander doesn’t have the greatest spin-handling skills. However, he does know how to score in international cricket. He has a double hundred in ODIs and, if he starts, could have a game-changing effect.
