IND Vs AUS 1st ODI : Hardik Pandya unbothered about Jasprit Bumrah’s absence in the Indian team!
India’s Captain in the shortest format of the game Hardik Pandya who will also be leading the Men in Blues in the 1st ODI of the 3-match ODI series against Australia revealed some important points during a Pre press conference ahead of the 1st ODI tomorrow at the Wankhede Stadium.
As we all know India have remained undefeated in the previous ODI series earlier this year against Sri-Lanka and New Zealand and they will hope to clinch their 3rd successive series win this year. It is the World cup year thus it will be even more important for India to have the correct momentum.

But India dealt with a major blow before the ODI series. With Rishabh Pant already out for the rest of the year, Shreyas Iyer has also been ruled out because of back injury. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has also suffered injury setbacks and he is still in doubt for the WTC final.
Since September 2022, Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t participated in an India match. His fitness for the ODI World Cup later this year is in serious doubt due to a recurring back problem that forced him to miss the T20 World Cup in Australia and forced him to miss the India tour of England last year.

On all such note, Hardik Pandya expressed his feelings about the injuries and showed optimism that India will be able to curb this tricky situation.
“Jassi hasn’t been around for a quite some now. The bowling group, we have been doing a decent job. They’re all experienced now. The number of games they have played. Having Jassi makes a massive difference but to be very honest, we aren’t much bothered because the guys who have taken role of Jassi, I am quite confident they’ll be doing very well. It gives us good confidence.”
