I-League: India’s 2nd Most Popular Football League Ends without declaring Winner

There is never dull day in Indian Football and latest to add this embarrassment I-League 2nd tier Football League tournament have been ended now with four teams who were in contention- Chruchilll Brothers, Inter Kashi, Real Kashmir FC and Gokulam Kerala FC.

No team have won the tournament as none have qualified for ISL (Indian Super League)(India’s Top Tier Football Tournament in the world).

In order to explain why there was no winner for the marquee event we need to categorically describe their points- Chruchill Brothers stayed at top with 40 points followed by Inter Kashi  FC scored 39 points, Real Kashmir finished with 37 points subsequently matched by Gokulam Kerala FC in 37.

Ideally Churchill Brothers with 40 Points should have won as Kashi FC finished competition with 39 points so in terms of points, Churchill should be coined as Champion but Kashi scored twice in stoppage time against Rajasthan United by 3-1 at home where they also became contender for Top spot and consequently a place in Indian Super League.

There is a decision pending with AIFF Technical Committee for a case registered against Inter Kashi FC where their player Namdhari was fielded  but as per rules he is not eligible to play that.

If decision comes in favor of Kashi they will get 3 points and eventually finished at the top as the important decision will be awaited on 28th April 2025.

When Chruchill Brothers played against Real Kashmir final I-League where the match ended in 1-1 draw their players fell on the ground and looks dejected that they couldn’t finish games for his side.

However Real Kashmir Football Club should be credited for displaying superb performance against Chruchill Brothers FC.
