Haryana beat Chandigarh by an innings and 24 runs in their Ranji Trophy match at the CH Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Lahli, Rohtak. Haryana won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Chandigarh were bowled out for 103 in 41.3 overs. Akshit Rana top-scored with 31 off 49 balls, V Kashyap made 26 off 39 and Arslan Khan 17 off 58. Ajit Chahal took 3 for 17 from 10 overs and Aman Kumar 3 for 21 from 12.
Haryana replied with 245 in 77.1 overs, built on two near-centuries. Yashvardhan Dalal made 95 off 139 balls with eight fours and two sixes before he was stumped by Akshit Rana off Nishunk Birla. N Sindhu added 92 off 194 balls and was the ninth man out, lbw to Kashyap with the score on 230. Birla finished with 5 for 63 from 20 overs and Jagjit Singh took 2 for 29.
Chandigarh's second innings ended on 118 in 47 overs. Manan Vohra led the resistance with 47 off 89 balls until Sindhu bowled him with the score on 100 for 5. Sindhu then removed Vishu Kashyap and Nishunk Birla off consecutive balls at 110, and Chandigarh lost their last three wickets with the total on 118. BB Lather made 29 off 57 balls and Arslan Khan 20 off 64.
Sindhu returned 6 for 27 from 13 overs to go with his 92, while Kanishk Chouhan claimed 3 for 32 from 17 overs, including the final two wickets.
