I have some Friendly Instagram banter with Chahal but I have never met him: Danielle Wyatt

There is no point denying that Yuzvendra Chahal is the most active cricketer on a social platform especially during the pandemic time. He can be spotted dropping comments on other cricketer’s Instagram live.

Chahal, who is all set to play for RCB In IPL 2020 which has been suspended temporarily due to COVID-19. On top of that Chahal never misses a chance to engage in a hilarious banter through his Instagram comments with several players.

One such player is Danielle Wyatt who had an interesting banter with Chahal in the recent past on Instagram. As when  Women’s T20 World Cup was going on Chahal predicted that Danielle would hit six in the tournament for sure.

To which Danielle replied, “I could only hit those sixes when Chahal bowl to me”.

She also talked about her camaraderie with Chahal, she has never met  Chahal personally but he is a fantastic bowler and absolutely funny across all social platforms.

Wyatt expressed her opinion in detail when she was talking to cricket.com as she added

“I have never met Chahal. We follow each other on Instagram and have some good friendly banter towards each other. He is a fantastic bowler and he is absolutely funny on social media too”.

She also talked about Indian batting stalwart Sachin Tendulkar as she trained with him and his son Arjun at Lords.

She recalled her first meeting with Father-Son duo in detail as she stated

“So, I first met Sachin and Arjun at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Maybe 2009 or 2010 when I was with MCC young cricketers and they were training in the nets. Literally, I went to the nets and said hello and introduced myself saying I am Danni, etc”.

She concluded by asking Arjun to bowl her in the nets and he is getting quick as a bowler day by day as she concluded the entire incident.

“I bowled to him that day, he was very good. Since then whenever I bump into Sachin or Arjun or whenever they come to Lord’s to train, I go to the nets and ask him (Arjun) to bowl the new ball to me. But he is getting very quick now. He always says I will bounce you and knock your head off so I don’t like him bowling to me anymore. He is getting too dangerous to face!”.
