“I am Extremely Proud as it is not …….” Said New Wimbledon Champion Jannik Sinner on His Mental Aspect of Game

They always say “Life gives you second chance make sure you are prepared once that opportunity comes to trickle opposition down” that’s how you describe New Wimbledon Champions Jannik Sinner who finally have an edge over Carlos Alcarez who defeated him recently in French Open.

Jannik Sinner buried all the hatches after winning Wimbledon that speaks a volume about his mental toughness.

Before we dwell further and understand his Mental space let’s talk about statements these two players have for each and why this is the biggest rivalary in Tennis based on quality of Tennis these two have played against each other.

“It’s Important for sure to beat Alcarez because when you lose several times against someone, It’s not easy . I keep looking up to Carlos, because even today, I felt like he was doing couple of things better than I did. We will work on and prepare ourselves, because he’s going to come for us again” said Jannik Sinner said on his rivalry with Carlos Alcarez.

“It gives me the opportunity to just give my 100% every practice, every day. Just to be better, thanks to that. The Level that I have to maintain, and I have to raise, If I want to beat Jannik is really high” said Carlos Alcarez.

“Their growing rivalry is a gift to our sport, and its matched by the genuine respect they show for each other. Win or lose, they compete with joy, class and sportsmanship that’s what make champions” Said Rod Laver on the growing rivalry between Carlos Alcarez and Jannik Sinner.

“This is the part I am proudest of because it has been not easy ” said Sinner who tried to take positives from his loss in Paris.

“It’s much better that you lose a Grand Slam Final that way than someone kills you, you make two games”.

“We have tried to push at every practice session, I was struggling at times mentally” Sinner explained.

“Maybe even more in practice sessions because I feel when I play the match, I can switch off and Just Play” said Sinner.

He talked about his coach, and interesting bet before the final where he said “We had a bet before the final. He said “If you win tomorrow, you can decide whether or not I stay” Now the choice is mine . I have always looked for a person who is honest, a person who gives me a lot, not necessarily only on the tennis court, but off it as well” said Sinner.

The mental side of the game helped him to make sure he beat Alcarez in the night of the final.

You would see his ability to beat Djokovic time and again makes him an absolute beast in itself.
