He hit 3 sixes and 3 fours during the course of his unbeaten knock and with that guided his team to a 4-wicket over Sri Lanka.
2. Jimmy Neesham: 361.53
New Zealand all-rounder, Jimmy Neesham has the second-highest strike rate in an innings in ODIs. The first ODI between New Zealand and Sri Lanka saw J Neesham notching a brilliant 13-ball 47-run knock and helping New Zealand post a mammoth 371-run total in the first innings.
Neesham’s knock was laced with as many as 6 sixes. He played the knock at an astonishing strike rate of 361.53.
1. James Franklin: 387.50
Former New Zealand batsman, James Franklin holds the record for having the highest strike rate by a batsman in an innings in ODIs. Franklin made that record against Canada in the 2011 World Cup. Batting first, New Zealand posted a mammoth 358-run total.
Brendon McCullum notched a brilliant knock of 101 runs off 109 balls, while Ross Taylor too played a handy 74-run knock of just 44 balls. James Franklin at the fag end of the innings played a stellar cameo of 31 runs off just 8 balls, including 2 fours and 3 sixes. He played that knock with a strike rate of 387.50.
