The season of the biggest cricket league has started now ith it’s women edition WPL. The franchises were eager to get a team but there were only five.  The teams were sold at a enormous amount of Rs 4699 crore.

The first match of the Women’s Premier League 2023 is starting from 4 March 2023 to 26 March 2023. The inaugural match will be played on 4 March  between Gujrat giants and Mumbai Indians in Mumbai. Gujrat titans were sold at Rs1260 crore to Adani sportsline.

“Adanisportsline” is not a well-known term or entity. Adani Group is a large conglomerate company based in India that operates in various sectors, including ports, logistics, energy, and agribusiness. However, there is no specific business or subsidiary of Adani Group with the name “Adanisportslines.

All the matches of Women’s Premier league will be played in Mumbai and navi mumbai.

Gujarat giants has bought a total of 18 players, in which six players are  overseas. The Gujarat Giants team has now left with INR 5lakhs in thier ourse.  Mooney has played more than 83 games  in her career and scored 2,350 runs at an strika rate of 124.6 in her  career, including a 74 not out in the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in that encounter she was selected as the ‘Player of the Match’ award. Beth mooney is selected as a captain of the squad. Beth has won world cup titles with Australian side in 2018,2020 and 2023.

Sneh rana has been selected as the vice captain of the Gujarat giants for the inaugural season of Women’s premiere league. While interacting with fans sneh said’ I’m very keen to learn from Beth, the whole squad is ready for the upcoming tournament.’

Former player and Australia’s ex coach Rachael Haynes will be the head coach of the team. The batting coach of Gujarat giants is Tushar Arothe .Not justhis, Indian lengend and International cricketer Mithali Raj has been appointed as the mentor for the Gujarat Giants team for the season.

Talking with ESPNcricinfo Mithali said ‘ it’s not a late call for women’s premier league. My career has completed and I’ve not regrets about it. I’ve played for my country and enjoyed every single bit of that moment.’

There are players like Harleen deol and uncapped players like Shabnam shakil and Hurley gala. This WPL is going to be exciting with these young guns.
