Football News Deloitte unveils 20 Richest Football Clubs in the World as of 2023

In a recent development, Deloitte – one of the worlds leading provider of audit, assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax and much more revealed their latest calculation of the World’s top 20 richest Football clubs in the globe.

And perhaps for the first time in the history, half of those 20 clubs are from the English Premier League. It was revealed earlier today according to the latest annual Football money league report. If we go by that report Manchester City are leading the list as the most richest FC in the globe.

Deloitte’s latest compiled report suggests that the EPL champions generated a revenue of 619 Million Euros and they are just above Second-placed Real Madrid. The defending champions of the UEFA Champions League, who won their 14th European title counted for a revenue of 604 Million Euros.

Real are one of the most reputed clubs in the world which has immense history in club football and one will always find the Spanish outfit in this list. At number 3 on this list is 6-time European Champions Liverpool, who leapfrogged from the 7th place to 3rd. For the first in 27 years, the Merseyside have toppled rivals Manchester United in this list.

Liverpool amassed a total of 594 Million Euros from last season and saw a massive spike of 106.9 Million Euros. Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspurs, Arsenal, West Ham United, Leicester City, Leeds United, Everton and Newcastle United are the other 8 clubs from England who are a part of this list.

Meanwhile, in Deloitte’s first ever Women’s football money league, Barcelona Femeni are on top of the list powered by a revenue of 6.7 Million euros. They are even ahead of Manchester United and Manchester City who are 2nd and 3rd with revenues of 5.3 Million euros and 4.5 million euros.

It clearly means that the Premier League is not only the most competitive league in the world but it is also the most richest football league. 11 out of the 20 clubs are from the English circuit and it is happening for the first time in the history of the Money league that clubs from a single nation has made into this list of riches.

Another statistic put out by Deloitte is that the grand revenue of all the 20 clubs have seen a spike of 13% from 2021’s sum of 8 Billion euros. And it will not be much longer that EPL outfits take over the list completely.
