Fans goes berserk on social media after Virat Kohli discussed his dismissal with umpire

After his controversial dismissal during India’s first innings of the second Test against Australia on Saturday, Virat Kohli was seen talking with umpire Nitin Menon in the stands. Kohli got 44 runs on Day 2 of the game at Arun Jaitley Stadium before his unfortunate innings ended. Matthew Kuhnemann, an Australian Test player, delivered a ball that struck Virat Kohli in the front pad, prompting umpire Menon to raise his finger in response to the Australian players’ appeal. Unhappy Kohli requested a review.

Replays supported the verdict that the ball struck Kohli’s front pad and bat at the same time. Unexpectedly, the third umpire chose to proceed under the presumption that the ball struck the pad first.

The ball tracker was used as a result, and its findings indicated that the ball may have clipped the leg stump. The final verdict was upheld because umpire Menon had given it out in accordance with the current cricket rules.

Kohli was seen conversing with Menon after India’s innings ended and the team walked out to field for the second time in the match. They were likely discussing Kohli’s demise.

Australia finished Day 2 at 61 for 1, but the Indian spinners dominated Day 3. While the hosts bowled out Australia for 113 runs in the latter’s second innings, Ravindra Jadeja claimed a seven-wicket haul and Ravichandran Ashwin claimed three.

Australia lost wickets frequently after the game resumed on Sunday with a score of 61 for 1, as Jadeja and Ashwin went amok.

India received a 115-run target to win the match, which they easily attained after Australia took a one-run first-innings lead after scoring 263 runs in their first innings.
