The 49th match of IPL was played between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK, after losing the toss, batted first and scored 162/7. In reply, Punjab Kings chased this target in 17.5 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal now shared a snap of this match.
A funny incident happened during Chennai’s batting which is now going viral on social media. Punjab fast bowler Harshal Patel celebrated in a way that resulted in Yuzvendra Chahal making a special request to Elon Musk, the CEO of X(twitter).
The right-arm fast bowler Harshal took a brilliant catch of young batsman Sameer Rizvi in the 16th over of the Chennai Super Kings innings. This over was done by Kagiso Rabada for Punjab. On the third ball of the over, Rizvi played a shot in the air in the direction of third man and Harshal took a sliding catch.
Harshal Patel imitated Yuzvendra Chahal’s style
After taking the catch, he lay down completely on the ground and started celebrating by holding the ball in his left hand and pointing upwards. This celebration is a trademark style of Yuzvendra Chahal.
In the match, Harshal Patel made headlines for taking this catch instead of his bowling. His unique celebration attracted everyone’s attention which includes Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal is often seen posing in this manner on the field, which came into limelight for the first time during the 2019 World Cup.
