Eden Hazard: A curious case of injury

Eden Hazard is still awaiting his medical results after he is injured in a clash playing for Real Madrid

Yes, you read it right. Zinedine Zidane is yet to receive the medical report of Eden Hazard after a month he is injured. Eden Hazard is still nursing his right ankle injury. This means that the Belgian winger will be out of the Supercopa de Espana. Supercopa de Espana kicks off from January 8th.

In December, when his injury was assessed and the report was made public on December 5th, his return date was set for Supercopa but now the Belgian big man’s return date is expected to be late January or mid-February. But why this hesitation from Real Madrid? According to the close resources of Los Blancos, Florentino Perez has told the medical staff to be taken with Eden Hazard. Real Madrid has made Hazard priority for LaLiga and knockout stages of the Champions League.

Why Hazard is important for Real Madrid?

Few statistics reveal that when Eden Hazard doesn’t play, the Spanish capital-based outfit misses him a lot. Real Madrid has just eight goals in the six games played since his injury. Whenever Hazard has played, Real Madrid have scored 20 goals.

Consequences of Eden Hazard

The Belgian was turning up the heat on the left flank of Real Madrid which was left by Cristiano Ronaldo who joined the Bianconeri, this summer. Eden Hazard was looking like a Galactico signing done by Florentino Perez until the injury happened.  Defenses were looking hapless and Hazard was turning and dusting down the midfielders in his decimating counterattack. This can badly hit Real Madrid if the player is not back on time.

If left-winger is unable to play, it would increase the Isco’s playing time on the left flank or the 18-year old, Vinicius Junior. But can they fill the big boots left void by the Belgian?
