After the match, Divij Sharan said that it was a tough match and now he wants to do good in the quarterfinal clash against the Brayan brothers.

“It was indeed a tough match. We came back really well in the second set. Looking forward to the quarter-finals,” Divij said.

The Brayan brothers from the US advanced into the quarterfinals after they were handed a walkover by their opponents Nick Kyrgios and Jordan Thompson of Australia.

On the other hand, Divij’s would-be doubles partner for the Olympics Rohan Bopanna had to face disappointment after he was knocked out of the Open 13 tournament in Marseille. Bopanna who had paired up with Canada’s Dani Shapovalov was shown the door by the pair of Denmark’s Frederik Nielsen and Tim Putz of Germany at the ATP 250 event in the men’s doubles quarter-finals.
