Former Australian cricketer, Dean Jones passed away due to a massive heart attack on Thursday. He breathed his last at 59 years of age. The former Australian cricketer was a part of Star Sports commentary panel in IPL 2020. He was staying in the bio-secure bubble in a seven-star hotel in Mumbai.
Dean Jones was a prominent figure in world cricket. He was known for his forthright views in the game. Jones commentated in numerous ICC events and some top-class franchise tournaments. He recently signed for doing commentary in IPL 2020.
In his illustrious career, Jones has played 52 Test matches and scored 3631 runs at an average of 46.55. He hit 11 centuries in his career with the best score of 216. Besides, he also represented Australia in 164 ODIs, scoring 6068 runs, including 7 centuries and 46 half-centuries.
