The producers of the upcoming animated film “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” revealed on Monday that Star Indian batsman Shubman Gill has lent his voice for Indian Spider-Man. The movie will be distributed nationwide by Sony Pictures Entertainment India, and it will be Pavitr Prabhakar’s big-screen debut as the Indian Spider-Man.

Spider-Man is “one of the most relatable superheroes,” according to Gill, who is presently a player for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. The film’s Hindi and Punjabi versions will be voiced by Gill.

“Being chosen to be the voice of our Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in the Hindi and Punjabi languages was such a great experience for me, especially because the movie will feature the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen. I already feel above human. I can’t wait for this movie to come out,” the Gill stated in a statement.

The release of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” on June 2 will undoubtedly be a significant event for Spider-Man fans all across the nation, and Shony Panjikaran, general manager and head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) India, is confident that everyone will provide this movie the same affection they gave “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

Shubman Gill is not just a young icon but also a real hero who has excelled for his country in international cricket while captivating millions of fans with his on-field exploits, said Panjikaran. “We are so excited to work with Shubman Gill,” he continued.
