Big Breaking: Hockey India announced new support staff for Men’s and Women’s Hockey Team

As a result of the support staff appointments, Hockey India has made some significant adjustments to the men’s and women’s hockey teams’ present organizational structure.

Regarding the most recent development, the Indian women’s national team has hired renowned Australian coach Anthony Farry as its analytical coach.

Rhett Halket, a South African, will do the same roles for the men’s national hockey team of India.

The national Federation have been appointed other support staff of both squad.

When discussing Farry’s inclusion, his accomplishments can be summed up as successfully guiding the Canada Men’s Team to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 and the Japan Women’s Team to win their first-ever Asian Games title in 2018; Janneke Scopman was also a member of the interim coaching team.

Farry has made important contributions to the Junior Canada Men’s Hockey Team. Under his guidance, he also worked with the USA National Hockey Team from August 2020 to April 2022 as their High Performance Director.

When we talk about Rhett, past achievements, who has been part of South African camp for 155 matches between 2010 and 2018 for South Africa.

He has been part of Netherlands women’s squad before he made switch to Scotland where he has coached Under 21 squad.

Tan being the  other member of the men’s Hockey team support staff  has already worked as Strength and Conditioning expert in New South Wales team so his expertise will be pretty handy for the national squad.

Hockey India current President Dilip Tirkey is elated with the appointment of new support staff and added that the new support staff will immensely help both national squad immensely as the experience they will bring on the table will immensely help in the upcoming Asian Games which is scheduled in the month of September in Hangzhou China.

If things work well under them in upcoming Asian Games you never know they might extend their lead towards Paris Olympics 2024 which is next big thing for Indian Hockey team.
