“Hockey India knows about my address” Siegfried Aikman exposes federation with his statement

Following Graham Reid’s resignation from the position, five coaches are vying to lead the national hockey team.

When asked about applying for the position of Indian coach, Siegfried Aikman, who is currently the head coach of Pakistan and operations in charge, said no.

Siegfried continued, “I had already applied twice for Hockey India’s Head Coach position, but I have never received a response from them.”

They are aware of my address if they are actually interested in hiring me.

All of the media rumours about me applying for the position of head coach are untrue.

I’m still with the Pakistani team, and right now my priorities are in order.

Aikman has already given interviews to several media sources; if this continues for another month, I will not have received payment for the past 10 months. I will have to use CAS to seek justice (Court for arbitration in Sports).

Aikman was in India during Hockey World Cup 2023, where he observed all games  a question was asked to him regarding what went wrong for India during the mega event to which he responded  that India is one of the fittest teams in the world but their game is quite predictable as they revolve around passes a lot.

The passes are more towards the legs which makes it even easier for the world class opponents to tackle India.

India switching games from attack to defence is again pretty poor as their ability to bounce back in tough situations is pretty minimal if India can successfully work on that they will become the best teams in the world.
