'Amitabh Bachchan gives us a lot of confidence,' says Jaipur Pink Panthers' Captain Sunil Kumar -

The Jaipur Pink Panthers pulled off their fifth successive victory in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 after defeating U Mumba 31-29 in Jaipur on Monday. Speaking about the match, Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Captain Sunil Kumar said, “It was a great match. We should’ve scored a tackle point right after Ajith’s Super Raid, but we couldn’t do it. That was a big mistake for us, but the team fought till the end and hence we triumphed in the game.”

The Panthers moved to the top of the table following their victory over the Mumbai side. When asked about the same, Sunil said, “The confidence is high in the camp after winning three consecutive matches at home ground. But there’s still a long way to go in the tournament. We’ll try to stay at the top of the points table.”

The Jaipur Pink Panthers played in front of a special guest on Monday as Indian film legend Amitabh Bachchan graced the stadium with his presence. Speaking about playing in front of him, the skipper said, “Amitabh Bachchan sir gives us a lot of confidence. We won in front of in Mumbai and now we’ve won again here in Jaipur. He’s a great person and keeps giving us a boost for all games.”

The match between Jaipur Pink Panthers and U Mumba was also the 1001st Pro Kabaddi League game. When asked about the significance of the game, Sunil said, “I would like to thank the supporters of the Pro Kabaddi League for taking the tournament to great heights over the last 10 seasons. It feels really nice to play and win the 1001st match as a Captain.”

The Jaipur Pink Panthers will take on Haryana Steelers in their last home game on Wednesday.
