After 2 days of Junior Kabaddi action at the 6th Junior Kabaddi Federation Tournament Boys and Girls, the event reached its final day. Haryana and Sports Authority of India met each other at the Finale and both the teams tried their best to get their hands on the trophy. This tournament was a huge success as many young Kabaddi aspirants had the chance to showcase their talent.
The players did not just play to win but also to try and impress possible scouts present at the event. The two teams met each other in the Final and they played out an extremely competitive encounter. It was a very close tie and players of both the teams kept on tussling till the final minute in order to get the result in their favor but Haryana ended as the Champions.
The first-half started with SAI winning the first 4 points whereas Haryana had to wait for some time to open their account. Haryana responded very well as they equalized the score line in no time, making it 4-4 in a quick succession. Later in the half, SAI imposed their dominance once again but Haryana would always find a way back.
The teams went back and forth and as the first-half ended, the scoreline of 19-23 was in favor of SAI. They had a lead of 4 points.
However, in the second-half, Haryana staged an outstanding turn around to come back from behind to win the match. SAI looked uncomfortable right from the beginning of the second-half due to Haryana’s tactics to remain compact in the defense and go all in for the Raids.
Sports Authority of India did not win a single point in the beginning of the second round of 40 minutes. Haryana built the momentum initially to keep it intact throughout the second half and went from 19 to 26 after a series of successful raids and tackles. But SAI were also reluctant to lose the match and equalized the scoring as well.
Although, Haryana ended up winning the match by a margin of 7 points as they defeated SAI by 47-40.
