#1 Rohit Sharma liked a Tweet against Anushka Sharma
During India’s tour of England in 2018, the Indian team paid a visit to the high commissioner of India in London. The whole team shared a frame with the commissioner and also posted pictures on Twitter. However, Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma was also seen sharing the frame which didn’t go well with the Twitteratis.
Many voiced their discontentment over Anushka standing in the middle of the frame and the India’s test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane lost somewhere behind.
Rohit Sharma not being a part of that squad liked a tweet, which sparked a controversy on social media.

#2 When Rohit Sharma unfollowed Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma haven’t been the best of friends with the two often been compared for their performances on the cricket field. Post India’s heartbreaking defeat in the semi-final of the World Cup 2019, the two were at the centre of news with some of the experts wanting Virat Kohli to step down as the captain and thereby make way for Rohit Sharma for the role.
Amidst all, Rohit Sharma unfollowed Virat Kohli on Twitter, lead to a major controversy at that time.
#3 Rohit Sharma unfollowed Anushka Sharma on Instagram
After unfollowing Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma recently made headlines when he unfollowed Anushka Sharma too on Instagram.
India’s vice-captain was earlier following the Bollywood actress on Instagram however amidst the rift between Virat and Rohit, the latter unfollowing her raised a lot of speculations.
Post the incident, Anushka Sharma came up with a mysterious Instagram story.
“A wise man once said nothing. Only truth can shake hands with silence in a mess of false appearances.” she wrote in the Instagram story.
#4 Rohit Sharma liking a post which stated KL Overrated
Rohit Sharma has been an integral cog in India’s limited over’s side, however, India’s ODI team vice-captain hasn’t been able to solidify his position in the Test side owing to limited opportunities being given to him in that format.
For the last two years, Indian cricketer KL Rahul has been offered constant opportunities in Test cricket, however, the 27-year old cricketer hasn’t made the use of opportunities of late.
Both KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were included in India’s tour of West Indies; however, the former was opted over the latter in both the tests. KL Rahul endured a moderate test series, scoring 101 runs in four innings.
Post the series, Rohit Sharma liked a tweet, which stated Rohit Sharma is a better test player than KL Rahul. The post went viral, leading to another controversy.
#5 Rohit Sharma Liking a Tweet against Anushka Sharma
India’s World Cup exit in the semi-final broke a million hearts as the hope for winning third World Cup vanished after losing to New Zealand.
Post the defeat, the rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma was doing the rounds on social media. However, ahead of the West Indies tour in a Press Conference, Virat Kohli rubbished all the rumours of the rift between the two, terming the rift as baffling and ridiculous.
While Virat Kohli had put a halt to the controversy, Rohit Sharma a couple of days later came up with a tweet that reignited the fire to the controversy.
“I don’t just walk out for my Team. I walk out for my country,” he wrote which again added life to this controversy.” He said in a tweet.
