The second Twenty20 international match between India and New Zealand was decided in 19.5 overs by the former team.

The post-game presentation was interrupted by Hardik Pandya, the captain, who complained that the pitch quality was shocking.

In a statement to the media, India’s bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said, “Based on your inquiries regarding the pitch and how our batters performed in these circumstances was based on the track. We have won this game.”

The last T20I series between India and the Black Caps will be played in Ahmedabad to determine the series champion.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy match between India and Australia, which will begin on February 9 in Nagpur, is next.

India have to win all four matches to become the 2nd finalist of World Test Championship final which will be scheduled in June 2023 in Oval.
