Indian ace wrestler, Bajrang Punia has been practising for the Tokyo Olympics even before his qualification in the event.  Fortunately, the Indian wrestler has qualified for the next year’s Tokyo Olympics and is looking forward to stepping on the mat and compete with the world-class wrestlers.

Bajrang is looked as a prominent wrestler to clinch a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. His regime framed by the former Indian Olympics medalist and his mentor Yogeshwar Dutt has helped him in winning national as well as global competitions.

The wrestler, recently,  posted a picture on his Twitter account where he can be seen standing outside the training camp with a countdown for the next year’s summer games.

Mai Udna chaahta hu, main daudna chaahta hu, girna bhi chaahta hu. Bas rukna nahi chaahta.” he wrote as caption.

The matman is determined to showcase his skills in the Tokyo Olympics. He started his training in April at his flat in Apex Green Apartments, Sonepat. Unfortunately, Bajrang along with the other athletes have been barred from training in the National camps due to the coronavirus.

Punia, who had an injury-plagued last year, had been struggling to compete on the mat. However, he has managed to win a silver medal at the World Wrestling Championships at Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan. Punia defeated North Korea’s Jong Son 8-2 in 65 KG freestyle wrestling category in the quarterfinal bout and settled for a silver medal in the end, and also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.

Other wrestlers who have also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics are Vinesh Phogat (58 KG Freestyle), Ravi Kumar Dahiya (Men’s 57 Kg Freestyle) and Deepak Punia (Men’s 86 Kg Freestyle).
