Women’s IPL 2022 has elevated the status of women’s cricket, and in accordance with a recent BCCI article, Viacom 18 has been granted media rights for the following five years (2023–2027) for INR 951 crores.

The cost of a single match will be 7.09 crores because the PSL (Pakistan Super League), where a single match will cost 2.07 crores, will be surpassed by the league, which was already the second-richest T20 league in the world before it even started.

According to rumours from several media sources, a full-fledged competition will take place in March over the course of 22 days and involve five teams.

Another rumour making the rounds on social media is that the huge event will take place in a number of cities, including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.

Uncapped players will have a base price of 10 lakhs, while capped players will have starting prices of 30 lakhs, 40 lakhs, and 50 lakhs, respectively.

With the new development, things are looking very bright for women’s cricket. Women’s IPL has been on BCCI’s agenda for a while.

The young female players will pick up a lot from seasoned campaigners, who will help them understand what it means to play well under pressure.

Before the first ball of the women’s IPL competition was ever bowled, it had already achieved success.

This is another another important step in developing women’s cricket in the nation after the parity pay between men’s and women’s cricket.

The league will also provide young athletes the self-confidence they need to use their skills in challenging circumstances.
