Andre Russell returned to the team
The biggest name being talked about in the Caribbean team is that of explosive all-rounder Andre Russell. There was already a lot of discussion about Andre Russell that he could be selected in the T20 World Cup team. Russell recently returned to the West Indies team. He also performed brilliantly with the bat in the T20 series against Australia. Currently Russell is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Russell is batting very well for KKR too. If Russell’s form continues in the T20 World Cup, the West Indies team can trouble the opposing teams a lot.
Shimron Hetmyer has also been included in the Caribbean team. He is also currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Nicholas Puran has been selected as the wicketkeeper batsman. It is noteworthy that the West Indies cricket team has won the T20 World Cup title twice (2012 and 2016).
