Afghanistan squad for T20 World Cup 2024
The Afghanistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced. Rashid Khan has been made the captain of this team. While two new players have also been given a place in the team.
Afghanistan has included 19-year-old wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Ishaq in its team, who made his international debut this year. Apart from this, Nangyal Kharoti, who is a 20-year-old left arm spin all-rounder, has also got a place in Afghanistan’s T20 World Cup team.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz will be the main wicketkeeper of this Afghanistan team. Apart from him, Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran have also been selected. Veteran player Mohammad Nabi is also a part of the team, who is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Azmatullah Omarzai has also been selected. He had performed tremendously during the World Cup 2023.
Mujeeb ur Rahman and Noor Ahmed have been selected as spinners in the team. Apart from this, Rashid Khan will be the main spinner of the team. Naveen Ul Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqui will also be part of the team. Overall, 6 all-rounder players have got a place in the team and that is why the Afghanistan team looks very strong.

Performance in IPL 2024
Rashid Khan has not been able to play that well in this season of the IPL. However, fast bowler Naveen Ul Haq has definitely impressed. Noor Ahmed’s performance has also not been anything special.
