Watch : Team India's lovely gesture for Rishabh Pant goes viral

A few players from India’s squad visited the renowned Mahakaleswar temple in Ujjain and offered prayers as they got ready for the third and final ODI, which is set to be played in Indore on Tuesday. On Monday morning, staff members Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Suryakumar Yadav paid a visit to the temple. Three of them travelled to the temple with members of the Indian cricket team’s staff to observe the Bhasm Aarti rite.

Players were spotted wearing the traditional garb of a dhoti and an angavastram, as is required for attending the Bhasm Aarti.

They prayed for their fellow Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, to recover quickly, Suryakumar said to the media following their visit. It’s noteworthy that Pant allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while travelling from Delhi to Roorkee. He was involved in an accident in December 2022 and suffered significant injuries. He is currently recovering in a Mumbai private hospital.

Suryakumar Yadav also said ”We prayed for Rishabh Pant’s quick recovery. We place a lot of importance on his return. Looking forward to our final game against New Zealand after already winning the series with them”. India is leading the 3 match series by 2-0 against New Zealand.

While Rishabh Pant has already been excluded from the IPL in 2023, some sources even have excluded him from the ODI World Cup in October.
