Watch : Harry Kane and Erling Haaland score record breaking goals in EPL last week

Harry Kane and Erling Haaland

Manchester City‘s goals from Erling Haaland are getting them closer to a treble of trophies. Meanwhile, Harry Kane seems helpless to prevent Tottenham’s slide. On Sunday, both of England’s best attackers scored momentous goals.

The goal machine, Haaland, scored his 50th goal of the season across all competitions. His participation has aided Manchester City’s rise to the top of the Premier League table. Whereas Kane scored his 208th Premier League goal, his team was unable to break through the reds and lost 4-3 to Liverpool in a close contest.

Kane is now level with Rooney for the spot of second-highest Premier League scorer of all time, trailing only Alan Shearer with 260.

Trophies, on the other hand, continue to avoid Kane, despite the fact that he has broken the all-time scoring record for England and Tottenham.

Haaland, on the other hand, is certain to end his first year at City with both trophies and individual honours.

The ex-Dortmund player’s third-minute penalty in City’s 2-1 win over Fulham gave him his 34th Premier League goal of the season, tying him with Shearer and Andy Cole. While their goals came in 42-game seasons, Haaland’s came in 38-game seasons, and the Norwegian still has six more matches to set a new record in English soccer’s top-tier league.

If Guardiola was successful in his signing of Kane in the summer transfer window of 2021, the Spurs striker might have already completed his quest for his first title prize.

Instead, Haaland is the player in command of City’s offence and its charge to the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.

Despite the fact that Tottenham has only won two of its previous 11 games, Kane has scored 28 goals this season.
