Watch : Epic Twitter reactions on Arjun Tendulkar’s slow pace bowling!

In his second IPL game, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Arjun Tendulkar was kept by Mumbai Indians. Arjun was chosen by Rohit Sharma with a larger strategy in mind after going for 17 runs in two overs in his debut game against Kolkata Knight Riders two days prior.

The 23-year-old bowler picked up his first IPL wicket while showcasing his versatility, but Arjun received harsh criticism from fans on social media after an IPL graphic revealed his bowling velocity.

Similar to the KKR match, Arjun was asked by Mumbai Indians captain Rohit to lead the bowling unit as SRH started their home chase of 193. He faced Harry Brook, the IPL 2023’s first centurion, in the opening over, who hit him for a boundary past cover on the fourth ball.

Three dot balls by Arjun cost him six runs in the opening over. The 23-year-old attempted to demonstrate more diversity with slower deliveries in the second over. Rahul Tripathi, however, got a boundary behind square leg as he concluded his turn.

When the first over came to a finish, an IPL graphic showed that Arjun had delivered the ball at a pace of 107.2 kmph. And Arjun received no pity from Twitter as the young man was at the receiving end of ruthless trolling.
